2022-2025
The inspiration for the image above began with a lithograph of ocean waves I encountered at a museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I wanted to combine the emotion and movement of that piece with my love of portraiture, using Jacques Cousteau as a symbolic figure whose life and work embodied curiosity, exploration, and a deep connection to the sea.
