Where Fine Art & Imagination Meet

Art for the Ages

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a crayon— but I couldn’t stay inside the lines! So, I  improvised – by moving to the margins where I tried to recreate what I saw on the page. By kindergarten I had won a community-wide art contest, and there was no looking back. After decades illustrating for Hallmark and American Greetings, I’ve now spent nearly 30 years as a full-time freelancer. My work spans from editorial and promotional illustration to advertising, portraiture, and commissioned pieces. I specialize in digital and traditional line work with color and texture. When creating personal work— it’s most often in pen and ink, my favorite medium.

HI, I'M MIKE!

My Approach

Although I’ve been drawing for over 50 years, I’ve never felt tied to a single style. Pen and ink will always hold a special place in my heart and hand, but I let the project lead the way. I’m drawn to any work that challenges me and I enjoy finding the right approach for each.

When I’m not drawing, you’ll usually find me on my bike or with a guitar in hand. These moments help me reset and prepare for wherever the next project might take me.
